Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best MLB Position Player Picks for June 28 – Bleacher Report
Sunday Funday is about to get even more entertaining with DraftKings daily fantasy baseball. The only problem? Picking out an optimal lineup can be a burdensome task for owners who want to get the most out of the weekend.
Instead of weeding through a massive list of players to slot into your lineup, we’ve taken the work out of your Sunday. Before setting your rosters, here’s a look at some of the best MLB position-player picks for June 28. You’re welcome.
First Baseman: Todd Frazier, Cincinnati Reds ($4,700)

Todd Frazier has been on fire nearly all season with 24 home runs and 52 RBI through just 73 games. That’s led to an average of over 10 fantasy points per game in a lineup that has been a letdown at times for Cincinnati Reds fans.
The Toddfather has six homers along with with a .343 on-base percentage in his last 10 games. He’s also teeing off on left-handed pitching and will face a first-time starter on Sunday. Expect a trial by fire for Steven Matz with Frazier continuing his torching hot start.
Second Baseman: Joe Panik, San Francisco Giants ($4,100)

Just when fantasy owners started to panic about Joe Panik slowing down, he’s back again. The San Francisco Giants infielder is averaging over 10 fantasy points per game in his last seven starts. Tack on the fact that he’s had multiple three-hit games recently, and he looks the part of a stud second baseman.
Not to mention, Panik will also be facing off with struggling starter Kyle Kendrick. The Rockies right-handed pitcher boasts a massive 5.96 ERA and a league-leading 21 home runs allowed. Panik can crush and has a .477 slugging percentage against righties. Don’t leave him out of your lineup on Sunday.
Third Baseman: Brett Lawrie, Oakland Athletics ($3,800)

He might never be able to fill the role of Josh Donaldson in Athletics fans’ hearts, but Brett Lawrie has certainly filled up the stat sheet. His .285 average with just seven homers doesn’t sound overly impressive, but his recent numbers have been much more gaudy.
Lawrie is averaging over nine fantasy points per game in his last 10 starts and is doing so with six extra-base hits. Going up against Jeremy Guthrie, look for Lawrie to outplay his value on DraftKings against the Royals.
Shortstop: Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado Rockies ($3,800)

Picking Toy Tulowitzki in the past seemed like an obvious choice for fantasy owners. But with a reduced price due to facing Madison Bumgarner, some might question owning him. Let’s just say he excels against the Giants ace.
Tulo has looked like a strong candidate with his nearly 10 homers for the Colorado Rockies. He hasn’t slowed down anytime recently, with the stats remaining noticeable. Facing Madison Bumgarner, a pitcher against whom he has a .385 average and two home runs, the Rockies have a secret weapon to close out the series.
Outfielder: Joc Pederson, Los Angeles Dodgers ($4,500)

Just under one month ago, tabbing Joc Pederson in a lineup was a no-brainer. He’s slowed down in recent weeks, but the talented rookie is still crushing pitchers for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The young outfielder has 19 homers already this season, but he is also getting the job done in other ways with his power. Over his last nine starts, for example, he has five extra-base hits and four RBI for the Dodgers. Battling Jose Urena on the mound, the rookie will lift off again on Sunday for owners.
