Chronicles of Stanley: Baseball, babies, and Blackhawks; Kane returns to Margaritaville
The Chronicles of Stanley is an occasional series this summer that tracks the Chicago Blackhawks as they each get their special alone time with the Stanley Cup.
About two weeks have elapsed since the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup. Before the players and coaches have their individual dates with Lord Stanley, the Cup makes appearances at various locales. Here’s a quick look at a couple of the highlight.
The Thursday after the win, the Blackhawks made a trip to Wrigley Field. They reminded Cubs fans what a championship is. (Too soon?) Cubs coach Joe Maddon lifted the Cup, which is frowned upon for non-winners, but they’ll allow it since he decided to switch sides to support (albeit somewhat reluctantly).
Both Brent Seabrook and Antoine Vermette each welcomed baby daughters just days after winning the Cup. Little Emilia Vermette rested somewhat comfortably in the bowl usually reserved for booze.
With stops in Vegas for the NHL Awards and Florida for the draft, out of the way, Patrick Kane took Stanley to a familiar event: a Jimmy Buffet concert.

This has become a tradition for the one they call ‘Kaner.’ Three Cup wins and three Jimmy Buffett concerts. There’s video of Kaner and the Cup in action on stage, but it’s not embeddable (for now), so check it out here.
For now, we’ll have to live with this Snapchat photo:
