Turkish draft prospect Cedi Osman has beautiful hair
For roughly 10 years, the second round of the NBA draft has been full of foreign players selected by teams whose fans know next to nothing about them. Apart from cursory scouting reports online and a few grainy highlights attended by Fran Fraschilla’s breathless descriptions, no one really knows much about these prospects. For at least one night, they are seeds to be planted overseas in the hope that they blossom into rotation players two or three years down the line.

The good news is that we now know at least one notable fact about Turkish forward Cedi Osman, a spindly 20-year-old who currently plays for Anadolu Efes. Based on the evidence of this Turkish ad for Head & Shoulders, the dude has beautiful hair (via Grantland):
It’s like scouts always say — you can’t teach volume and shine.
I suppose there are also basketball highlights in this 20-second ad — one-third the length of a standard American spot, presumably due to the exchange rate — but it’s probably best not to freak out over a few clips of a guy shooting the ball into a random metal tube and dunking in an empty swimming pool. Plus, the NBA outlawed those venues years ago.
Osman has been slated to go somewhere in the middle of the second round, but the revelation of his beautiful hair is sure to bump him up a few spots. We haven’t seen luster like this since Ricky Rubio.
