Live updates: The best of Thursday MLB games
Thursday action in Major League Baseball isn’t full, but it’s close. We’ve got 11 games on tap. Plenty of fun ones, including the struggling White Sox sending rookie Carlos Rodon to the hill against the Tigers in mantinee action. The Cubs look to take three of four from the Dodgers with Jon Lester on the hill. The Oakland A’s are sending Sonny Gray to the mound in hopes to stay red-hot while the Mets are looking to avoid an eighth straight loss.
The longest winning streak in the bigs belongs to the Nationals, who send Doug Fister to the mound against the Braves — who, without Freddie Freeman, seem to have a bit of a punchless offense. Fister struggled last time out in his return from the DL, so this is a decent chance to get back on track.
Can Doug Fister get back on track for Washington? (USATSI)
