Former University of Louisville players Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell are expected to be first round picks in Thursday’s NBA draft.

Coach Rick Pitino said he’s bullish on both.

CBS Sports has Harrell going between 19 and 25 and Rozier one of the final picks in the first round.

On SportsCenter, Pitino said both have the potential for long NBA careers.

“Montrezl Harrell is a 6’7-6’8 forward with a 7’4 wingspan. He has a live body. A Kenneth Farried-type game. A much better jump shot than Kenneth. But he is a young man that plays every single possession like it’s his last on earth. And Terry Rozier is a really big sleeper in the draft. I think he’s someone that can play the point,” Pitino said.

Former teammate Russ Smith said Rozier should be a first round pick.

“He was the best guard in the country last year. There was no guard in the country better than him. He does everything. He rebounds, he passes, he defends. He’s athletic. If you take any guard in the country over him, I don’t understand,” Smith said.

One of CBS’ mock drafts has Harrell as the 25th overall pick to Memphis, where he’d join Smith.

“It’s just about showing what you do best. I was able to showcase my talents playing at the University of Louisville. Those are some of the things they loved about me here, so to translate that to the NBA shouldn’t be hard for me to do,” Harrell said.
