Sorry, Mets fans, you have the worst grammar in the majors
The New York Mets have finally managed to win something, it’s just not the type of thing the team should celebrate. A recent study found that Mets fans make more mistakes per word than any other baseball fan base.

The study, conducted by Grammarly through the Wall Street Journal, looked at comments on team websites in order to determine which fan bases used the most grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes.
The Mets came out on top.
The division rival Philadelphia Phillies were not far behind, finishing second in the poll.
For once, positive things are happening in Cleveland. Indians fans make the fewest mistakes per 100 words according to the study. As the Wall Street Journal article points out, though, being at the bottom of this study isn’t necessarily a good thing. The five teams at the bottom of the list have won just four championships in the past 100 years.

The Mets are good at a bad thing. Shocking, we know! While we can’t say we’re surprised, we’re hoping we’ll be able to understand Mets fans’ complaints in the comments. Remember, “i” before “e,” except after “c.”
