The Associated Press already has college football bowl projections – Sun Times National
It’s generally agreed upon that preseason rankings do as much harm in college football as they do good. Certain teams get advantages throughout the season just because of where they are ranked in June.
But because that isn’t ridiculous enough, the Associated Press has decided to already post bowl projections for the College Football Playoffs.

According to the AP’s way too early predictions, it will be Ohio State, Auburn, Notre Dame, and Baylor competing in the playoffs. That means both Notre Dame and Auburn will have some nice improvements on the season, while Ohio State remains among the elite.
Baylor gets over the hump after being left out last season. This year, if the AP is correct, it’s the Pac-12 that gets left behind. Also noticeable is the continued regular treatment of the SEC. Despite the conference regularly begging for more than one bid, the SEC will only send one representative.
Of course, this is almost a complete guess. The AP only knows who should, or even could be good. Auburn has some tough tests early in the season and Ohio State kicks off the season with a rematch against Virginia Tech.
