Texas A&M is on fire.
The Aggies have landed a number of commitments over the last week. Langham Creek wide receiver Quartney Davis became the latest to pull the trigger on Monday night.
Davis announced his decision in an extended note on Twitter.
“Blessed and proud to say that I am verbally committing to Texas A&M University,” Davis wrote. “I feel like that is the right place for me and won’t regret my decision. I would like to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ, family, coaches and friends for being there for me through this process.”
Davis committed to Texas A&M over offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech and others.
A three-star prospect, Davis is ranked as the No. 111 wide receiver in the country and No. 97 overall prospect in the state, according to 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-2, 181-pounder recorded 35 receptions for 901 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior.
Texas A&M now has 14 verbal commits in its 2016 class. Davis is the second wide receiver to pledge, joining Frankston’s Kendrick Rogers.
