Live updates: Best of Sunday's MLB action
It’s a Sunday in June, so that means we’ve got 15 Major League Baseball games and they’re gonna be taking place throughout the afternoon, with seven games starting during the 1:00 p.m. ET hour.
We’ve got some big stories on tap, too. Top 10 prospects Byron Buxton (Twins) and Francisco Lindor (Indians) have been called up. Alex Rodriguez is closing in on 3,000 hits. Albert Pujols is on a ridiculous home run tear. The Orioles are looking for their seventh-straight victory as they are in fourth place and only two games out of first. Three teams are within 2.5 games of first in both the AL West and NL East, too.
And, of course, there are the Blue Jays, who are looking for a franchise record tying 11th consecutive win. They’re taking on the Red Sox, losers of five straight, but will have to deal with rookie sensation Eduardo Rodriguez. The 22-year-old lefty is 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings in his three big-league starts. The Blue Jays bring to Fenway baseball’s top offense, too, so something has to give.

Sad tweet of the day
The clown show in Boston continues and this pretty well sums it up:
Start a website about the Red Sox they said. Cover the 2015 season they said. It will be fun they said.
