Rajai Davis makes leaping catch at the wall to rob David Ross
Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross isn’t known for his bat these days. While he’s shown the ability to hit for power in the past, that’s not a big part of his game anymore. So, when Ross hit a ball with some carry Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers, he must have felt pretty happy.
[On the latest StewPod: Will the MLB Draft ever be cool?]
That is … until Rajai Davis ruined everything. Davis tracked the ball to the wall in center field, timing his jump at just the right moment in order to rob Ross of a home run.
This was not the first time Davis has shown off his defensive prowess.
While Davis was just doing his job, we can’t help but feel bad for Ross. He’s hit just .192 over the past three seasons, and it’s not often he gets to play the hero at the plate.

You’re a bad man, Rajai Davis. We respect the hell out of your defense, but you’re still a bad, bad man.
