Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best MLB Position Player Picks for June 5 – Bleacher Report
Don’t start the weekend just yet. Before going off on any trips or making any plans for Friday night, be sure to set your DraftKings lineup to dominate a wealth of fantasy games.
In order to do just that, owners will need some big bats to produce massive points. Luckily, we’ve carved through the rosters to target some of the best players to lock into lineups. Let’s take a look at the best MLB position player picks for Friday night.
First Baseman: Todd Frazier, Cincinnati Reds ($4,600)

“Great men are not born great, they grow great.” The Toddfather has lived up to that quote from The Godfather thus far in 2015. His growth has been evident since Opening Day when he started off the year with a home run.
Since that point, Frazier has yet to slow down and is proving to be one of the best infielders in the game. For owners, Flava Fraz has over 10 fantasy points per game with four homers over his last 10 starts. That includes two down games before breaking out again on Thursday night.
Regardless of what you call him, don’t leave the Reds first baseman out of your lineup.
Second Baseman: Joe Panik, San Francisco Giants ($3,800)

The best second baseman to target on Friday is not one of the highest-priced players on the board. In fact, he’s not even in the top 15 of active second basemen in terms of salary.
Joe Panik has been that sneaky good. The San Francisco Giants infielder is crushing the ball recently with a nine-game hitting streak that’s included two homers, eight RBI and—most importantly—an average of 11.1 fantasy points per game.
Facing Jerome Williams (6.62 ERA in last seven starts) and the Philadelphia Phillies, Panik should have no issues getting on base or helping score runs. No owner should ever panic with Panik in the lineup.
Third Baseman: Nolan Arenado, Colorado Rockies ($4,900)

Speaking of players that are on fire, Nolan Arenado fits in that category alongside Panik. Though he’s slowed down slightly in the last two games with just one hit and one RBI, the Rockies third baseman had double-digit fantasy points in six of his previous eight games.
While most pitchers are taught to keep the ball down in the zone, Arenado is killing the ball in the lower half. ESPN Stats & Info takes a look at how his numbers compare to every other MLB player:
Pitchers beware: @Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado now has 8 HR this season in the lower third of the zone (most in MLB). pic.twitter.com/kae235tZhj

There’s this guy by the name of Mike Trout—you might have heard of him—that attacks pitchers in a similar fashion. Expect Arenado to keep surging at home inside the confines of Coors Field.
Shortstop: Jhonny Peralta, St. Louis Cardinals ($4,100)
Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports
I’m not just a fan of consistent players, I also like the hottest in the game. Jhonny Peralta is playing like the best shortstop in the majors at the plate. Surprisingly enough, he’s still outside of the top five on the price sheet and a full $1,000(!) less than Troy Tulowitzki.
With two hits in four of his last seven games, Peralta just keeps on truckin‘ this season. Going up against Brett Anderson, a decent but not great starter for the Los Angeles Dodgers, look for the Cards middle infielder to put up solid numbers again.
Outfielder: Charlie Blackmon, Colorado Rockies ($4,700)
Jack Dempsey/Associated Press
He’s not a splashy name like Bryce Harper or Giancarlo Stanton. He doesn’t have the longevity of players such as Andrew McCutchen or Nelson Cruz. However, what Charlie Blackmon does have is his confidence back after a rough stretch.
Similar to teammate Arenado, Blackmon has a tendency to be streaky at times. After collecting four hits on Wednesday, two of which were doubles, he’ll likely keep that going against the Miami Marlins. With Tom Koehler on the mound, look for Blackmon to thrive at home, where he averages 8.6 fantasy points per game.
