Tiger Woods is in Tacoma, presumably to prep for the U.S. Open
Fire up the Tiger Siren!
Tiger Woods is apparently in the Tacoma, Wash., area and, presumably, it’s to prepare for the U.S. Open. Woods’ private plane was spotted at a Tacoma-area airport, meaning he’s likely headed to Chambers Bay, which will host the year’s second major in two weeks’ time.
Area real estate agent Steve Sloboda shared this photo of Woods’ plane on the tarmac at Narrows Airport in Gig Harbor.
This is going to be a pit stop for Woods, following in the footsteps of the likes of Phil Mickelson and FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel, to get to know the course before flying to Columbus, Ohio, to play in this week’s Memorial Tournament at Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Woods hasn’t competed since The Players, where he finished T-69.
