Tiger Woods is in Tacoma, Wash., on Monday, preparing for the U.S. Open at host Chambers Bay.
Area real estate agent Steve Sloboda shared this photo of Woods’ plane on the tarmac at Narrows Airport in Gig Harbor.
That was on Sunday. Woods was driven to the course on Monday to get his first glance at the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed course.
KOMO-TV sports reporter Tim Lewis shared footage of Woods during his practice round.
This is going to be a pit stop for Woods, following in the footsteps of the likes of Phil Mickelson and FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel, to get to know the course before flying to Columbus, Ohio, to play in this week’s Memorial Tournament at Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Woods hasn’t competed since The Players, where he finished T-69.
