Miami is reportedly investigating WR Stacy Coley, too
A prominent member of Miami’s offense is reportedly being investigated by the school.
The school is looking into several football players who may have received extra benefits from a South Beach car rental agency. The Miami Herald reported Saturday that wide receiver Stacy Coley is one of those players.

Per the Herald, players may have “used cars” from South Beach Exotic Rentals, a luxury car agency, “in exchange for future promises.” Coley, a senior, is one of the team’s top offensive threats. He had 47 catches for 689 yards and four touchdowns last year and has 103 catches for 1,464 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career.
It was previously reported that defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad and linebacker Jermaine Grace, both starters, were also being investigated by the school. Additionally, linebacker Juwon Young was removed the Miami roster as a result of the investigation, reportedly because he was not honest with school officials.
Aside from Young, Miami has not commented on the statuses of any players alleged to be involved.

UM, not the NCAA, is handling the investigation. UM has declined to say if any of the players will be suspended. Some are expecting the players to get short suspensions, but it remains unclear if that will happen. Grace, Muhammad and Coley all have been practicing this camp. UM is still in the process of determining what, if any, discipline will be doled out.
A source said recently that none of the investigated players have been declared ineligible by Miami.
Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post is also reporting that the team is preparing for players allegedly involved to serve suspensions.

Miami is entering its first season under Mark Richt, who returned to his alma mater following his dismissal from Georgia after 15 seasons. Richt replaces Al Golden, who was fired during the 2015 season – his fifth with the program. Overall, Golden finished with a 32-25 (17-18 ACC) with the Hurricanes.
