Cardinals coach Bruce Arians taken to San Diego hospital with stomach pain
Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians did not join his team during joint practices with the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday night after experiencing stomach pain earlier in the day. According to a Cardinals spokesman, Arians was taken to a hospital in the San Diego area.

Arians, 63, is a prostate cancer survivor. He was diagnosed initially in 2007 in his first year as Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator but has been cancer-free after undergoing prostatectomy surgery during his treatment at the time.
The Cardinals played in their preseason opener at home on Friday against the Oakland Raiders, losing 31-10, and Arians did not appear to be ill at the time.
He joined the Cardinals in the 2013 season after winning NFL Coach of the Year as the interim replacement for Chuck Pagano with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 even though the victories were credited to Pagano. In three seasons as Cardinals head coach, Arians record in 34-14 in the regular season and 1-2 in the postseason. The Cardinals lost to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC championship game last season.
