P.J. Fleck dons full pads, enlists legendary actor for scholarship reveal (Video)
I know we’ve posted quite a few walk-on scholarship videos lately, but when one involves a legendary actor and a coach putting on full pads, it’s getting posted. (Besides, they never get old, do they?)
Enter P.J. Fleck and Western Michigan. Fleck is one of the most energetic coaches in the country, so when the 35-year-old ran out of the tunnel at Waldo Stadium, you knew something special would happen. Fleck challenged redshirt sophomore linebacker Kasey Carson to a one-on-one goal line drill in front of the entire team.

That’s right, Fleck somehow (with the help of billionaire WMU alum Alec Gores) got Sylvester Stallone to record a message and deliver the good news to Carson, who is now on a full ride scholarship.
The 5-foot-11, 206-pound Carson played in nine games for the Broncos in 2015, totaling eight tackles and one tackle for loss.
