As he recovered from hamstring surgery, LSU wide receiver Travin Dural gained quite a bit of weight. His inability to run certainly played a factor, but another culprit was Popeyes fried chicken. He told The Advertiser that he couldn’t get enough.
“Yeah, Popeyes was putting a lot of weight on me,” he said.
In all, Dural put on nearly 30 pounds before he made the change to salads and grilled chicken. Running on his healed hamstring also helped him shed the weight back to a comfortable 205 as his senior season approaches. Dural sat out the spring and has been practicing at full speed during preseason camp.

LSU coach Les Miles is known to give good quotes. Thursday was evidence of that. First he was asked about the “slap boxing” video involving Leonard Fournette that surfaced. A few other topics came up, too.
