More than a century has gone by since a golf ball was last teed off at the Olympics but that’s exactly what happens Thursday when golfers from around the world gather to compete for medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

While names like Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy will not be in attendance, there are big stars from across the globe in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the four-day event, which begins bright and early at 6:30 a.m. ET
