Bovada lists Leonard Fournette, Deshaun Watson as Heisman favorites
If we asked you to guess who you thought the top five favorites for the 2016 Heisman Trophy are, we’re guessing your list would be pretty similar to Bovada’s.
The betting site released preseason Heisman and National Championship odds Wednesday and LSU running back Leonard Fournette and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson lead the pack. Fournette is at 4-1 while Watson is at 9-2.
The two are followed by Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey, Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook.
The national title favorite isn’t a surprise either. Alabama leads the way at 6-1 while LSU is second at 7-1. Yes, the top two favorites are from the same division in the SEC. Clemson is third while Michigan and Ohio State — two more teams in the same division — are tied for fourth.
