Early Tuesday morning, word got out former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow plans to give pro baseball a try. I say good luck to him.

A few hours later, Brewers first baseman Chris Carter made a football play on Braves shortstop Erick Aybar while he was caught in a rundown. Carter straight up tackled Aybar.

Nice form there. Carter wrapped Aybar up and drove him into the ground. No forward progress.

Carter is build like a football player — he’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 245 lbs. — and Aybar’s a skinny little middle infielder, so I can’t imagine that felt good. Aybar will be sore tomorrow.
