Marvin Harrison makes fun of Eagles fans during Hall of Fame speech
If any Eagles fans out there decided to DVR the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, let me give you a piece of advice: You’re probably going to want to fast forward through Marvin Harrison’s speech.
Harrison actually gave a good speech with one catch, and that catch will likely only bother Eagles fans: He made fun of Eagles fans.
Part of the way through his speech, Harrison decided to thank all the fans in Indianapolis who supported him during his 13-year career.
“The fans is what makes the game possible,” Harrison said. “We had the best fans — no offense Green Bay — but we had the best fans in the game. Let me explain why: Anytime you lose a game or drop a pass, they never booed me or did anything negative. They always said, ‘Don’t worry about it, Marvin, you’ll get the next one.'”
Apparently, Harrison wasn’t used to that kind of positive reinforcement when he was growing up because with his next breath, he pointed out how ruthless Eagles fans can be sometimes.
“I’m from Philadelphia, the home of the Eagles,” Harrison said. “If you get the coin toss wrong in Philadelphia, they want to trade you the first thing on Monday morning, so I wasn’t used to that in Indianapolis.”
Based on Twitter reaction, Harrison is clearly not the only person who thinks Eagles fans are ruthless.
Marvin Harrison joking about Eagles fans getting on your case after the slightest mistake couldn’t be more accurate 😂 #NFLHallOfFame

Anyway, we can probably all agree that there’s a good chance Harrison’s going to get booed the next time that he’s seen out in public in Philly.
