Louisiana Tech's likely starting QB arrested for DWI
Louisiana Tech quarterback Ryan Higgins was arrested for DWI Friday morning.
According to The News Star, Higgins was arrested at 3:19 a.m. Friday in Ruston, Louisiana, the city where Tech is located. Higgins was allegedly speeding between 11-20 MPH over the speed limit in addition to the DWI charge. Per the report, he was booked at just after 5 a.m. and had a bond of $1,750.

A senior in 2016, Higgins was 15-25 for 138 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in 2015 as Driskel’s backup. He saw his most playing time in 2013 as a redshirt freshman. He started six games that season and was 166-281 passing for 1,715 yards, six touchdowns and 13 picks.
Louisiana Tech went 9-4 in 2015 and won the New Orleans Bowl over Arkansas State.
