Colorado St. misspelled school name in Twitter offer graphics for recruits

Someone at Colorado State had an extra “a” and apparently didn’t know what to do with it.

Multiple recruits with offers from CSU tweeted graphics reflecting the offers on Monday. Can you spot the spelling mistake in the school name?

Deadspin has multiple screenshots of other graphics that were sent to recruits. Many of the misspelled graphics were deleted and replaced with correctly spelled ones or Colorado State caught its mistake about halfway through the creation process.

We’re also wondering if any recruits got offers with the school name misspelled and refused to post the graphics on the account of the bad spelling. Yeah, you’re right. Probably none of them did.

Monday was the first day the NCAA’s new social media rules came into effect. Coaches and schools are now allowed to retweet and like recruits twitter posts but cannot comment. It was also Colorado Day, which celebrates the admittance of the state into the union. President Ulysses S. Grant officially made Colorado (or is it Coloradao?) a state on Aug. 1, 1876.

Recruits can make non-binding verbal commitments to any school who offers a scholarship. Those commitments don’t become official until National Signing Day in February.
