DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 23 – FanSided
FanSided provides you with a look at some top NHL targets for DraftKings daily picks for January 23.
Saturday brings a busy day for the NHL with 11 total games scheduled throughout the entire day. However, in case you haven’t heard, Winter Storm Jonas is raging in the Northeast and caused a postponement of the game between Washington and Anaheim on Friday night. The Ducks are scheduled to play in Detroit tonight and it’s been confirmed that the team made it safely out of DC.
There’s been no official announcements as of yet, but several games could be affected by the weather today. One of which is the first game of the afternoon, a 12:30 p.m. ET start in Pittsburgh between the Penguins and the Canucks. Western Pennsylvania looks to have missed the full brunt of the storm, so the game should go on. Just be sure to check closer to puck drop.
New York City is right in the track of the major storm, meaning that the Islanders home game with Philadelphia could be in jeopardy. It’s currently scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. so be sure to look for updates before using players from that game.
As for games that will definitely happen, many star fantasy players will be in action tonight. In the afternoon San Jose will take the ice versus Minnesota and the Sharks are always a popular source of fantasy choices.
Dallas is of course the highest-scoring team in the league, meaning that several Stars are often targeted for fantasy lineups.
The New Jersey Devils will be in action tonight fresh off a six-goal performance on Thursday. Several New Jersey players will likely have higher ownership numbers than normal thanks to big performances in the last game.
There are plenty of fantasy options and hundreds of combinations for your lineup tonight. The following slides highlight some of the best targets to look at for each position.
All mention of fantasy salaries and points refer to DraftKings scoring rules and settings.
