Di Maria set to have PSG medical – report

Angel Di Maria has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and is due in the French capital early next week to complete his move from Manchester United, according to RMC.

It is claimed Di Maria will sign a four-year deal, worth an annual €11 million after tax, and that he is expected in Paris on Monday or Tuesday to undergo a medical.

RMC, L’Equipe and the Daily Mail have all reported that a transfer fee of around €63m (£44.2m) has been agreed.

The Guardian and Mail have both said that PSG had initially offered just €40m (£28.5m), and PSG boss Laurent Blanc said this week: “Manchester United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult, but we are close to the end.”

The former Real Madrid star, who joined United for £59.7m from last year, is reportedly still in Argentina and nursing a thigh injury he sustained in the Copa America.

United boss Louis van Gaal has said he does not know where the winger is.

He added: “With Manchester United, we shall announce something when it is already done and not when it isn’t done, because it’s a process.”
