Recruit commits to Texas with childhood Hook’Em Horns pic
Sam Ehlinger verbally committed to Texas on Tuesday night. And given the picture he put on Twitter to announce his decision, it shouldn’t come as much of a surpise.
The quarterback posted a picture of himself as a little kid doing the Hook’Em Horns sign with both hands. He’s from the Austin area and goes to Westlake High School.

Ehlinger is a three-star recruit in the class of 2017 according to Rivals. And, remember, a verbal commitment isn’t binding, but we’re going to assume that Ehlinger isn’t going to be a guy who waffles on his commitment. If he does, he may get more flack than the kid who committed to Penn State with a video of himself on a jet.
