Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best DraftKings MLB Pitcher Picks for July 29 – Bleacher Report
Remember in late February when Russell Westbrook went absolutely nuts for the Thunder? In case you forgot, here’s his eight-game stretch, starting February 22:

Woah!
Plus, he had the GIF of the year while playing in a mask because he had a DENT IN HIS FREAKING FACE!

That streak of dominance was forged out of necessity. The Thunder had no Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka was ailing, their interior defense stunk, they couldn’t rely on Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow off the bench, and, most importantly, Russ was mad.

But that’s beside the point.
No matter what Westbrook did statistically, the price-setters at DraftKings.com couldn’t seem to raise his cost fast enough. He continued to exceed value, despite blowing everyone else away in cost.
Remind you of anyone in the MLB?
Clayton Kershaw ($15,000) vs. Athletics
Ding. Ding. Ding.
Reminds me of Kershaw, the man who, per DraftKings.com, hasn’t dipped below 23.6 fantasy points in 11 starts! By now, you’ve probably seen these stats on Twitter, Bleacher Report’s Team Stream app or SportsCenter’s bottom line, but let’s throw them out there one more time to prove Kershaw‘s recent dominance.
Clayton Kershaw has 45 strikeout since his last walk. And counting.

Kershaw is so good right now that on a day with Chris Archer, Corey Kluber, Felix Hernandez and Francisco Liriano starting, he’s the most expensive guy on DraftKings.com by $3,700!
One could make the case that Kershaw is feeling the same type of pressure at a similar juncture of the season that Westbrook felt. He had been out-pitched by his teammate Zack Greinke most of the season. The Giants are breathing down the Dodgers’ necks for the division title, and he was famously snubbed from the All-Star Game. Personally, I just think he’s better than everyone else.
And you know what: Like Westbrook, Kershaw‘s DraftKings.com price hasn’t yet caught up with his value.
Cheap Options To Couple With Kershaw
Rick Porcello ($6,100) vs. White Sox
Charles Krupa/Associated Press
Per FanGraphs.com, the White Sox have scored 11 fewer runs than any other American League team.
Jake Peavy ($6,000) vs. Brewers
Ben Margot/Associated Press
Peavy has pitched well since returning from injury and benefits from the second best pitcher’s park in baseball, according to espn.com.
Jeremy Guthrie ($4,800) @ Indians
Colin E. Braley/Associated Press
The Indians are 14th in home runs and 12th in total runs scored in the American League, according to FanGraphs.com.
Mike Foltynewicz ($4,100) @ Orioles
David Goldman/Associated Press
According to baseball-reference.com, Foltynewicz averages over six innings pitched per game and 8.6 strikeouts per nine innings. Those are solid numbers for the cheapest pitcher on the board.
