Florida State ballboy ‘Red Lightning’ says he’s headed to the NFL
Florida State has a great track record of sending its players to the NFL. Now the Seminoles’ famous ballboy and equipment manager Frankie Grizzle-Malgrat is apparently taking his game to the next level, too.
Grizzle-Malgrat, affectionately known as “Red Lightning,” tweeted on Sunday that he’s headed to training camp with the Atlanta Falcons.
We don’t know what his role with the Falcons will be, but a spot with the equipment staff is a good guess.
As long as he can show off his blazing sideline speed, he should thrive at the next level.
Red Lightning became a college football sensation for sprinting up and down the sidelines during big plays and even celebrating with FSU players after touchdowns. He was also never afraid to stick his nose in a scrum and protect the Seminoles from the opposing team.
Long live Red Lightning.
