Nebraska unveils new alternate uniforms (Photos)
Nebraska will debut brand new alternate uniforms for its Oct. 24 home game against Northwestern.
Designed by adidas in collaboration with the Huskers’ athletic department, the uniforms feature a “bold, black colorway” and “metallic red numbers with a forged steel outline, combined with a modernized, metallic version of the classic Nebraska stripes that accent the jersey and pants.”
According to adidas, the numbers and stripes (including the ‘N’ on the side of the pants) “allow for maximum ventilation and range of motion.”
The new uniform is also paired with a black matte shell helmet with “metallic red logos, stripes and player numbers on the back” and a metallic red facemask.
There’s no word if Northwestern will bring back its weird “gothic” alternate uniforms it wore against Nebraska last year to match with the Huskers.
