College football: My preseason picks for ACC divisions and all-league – Fayetteville Observer (blog)
Officially, this is the second day of the annual Atlantic Coast Conference Football Kickoff at the Pinehurst Resort. But today is the first time we’re actually conducting some interviews with players from each of the league’s teams.
On a side note, since we are at the home of American golf, when I arrived this morning I was informed my foursome from yesterday’s Skeeter Francis Memorial Tournament had finished second. Obviously, this was not due to any major contribution from me, but was a nice way to start the day.
One of the first things I did upon arriving at the Carolina Inn this morning was to fill out my preseason ballot for the All-ACC team and my predictions for the division standings.
Even though I’m sure some of my choices are up for debate and criticism, here’s what I came up with.
First, here’s my picks, in order for each division:
ATLANTIC
1. Clemson

3. N.C. State
4. Louisville

7. Wake Forest
And for the COASTAL
