Pirates’ starter Charlie Morton has been getting rough up on the road getting tagged for 15 runs (13 earned) in just 12 2/3 innings in three away starts in 2015. That stat line is blown out or proportion by a disastrous outing against the Nationals that saw him give up nine runs in 2/3 of an inning! He does however have a good start against the Brewers this season back in June when he pitched 7 1/3 scoreless innings. Milwaukee starter Mike Fiers is in good form right now with a 1-0 record and 2.25 ERA in his last three starts but he hasn’t fared well against Pittsburgh whose current lineup has a lifetime .323 record against him. Fiers didn’t look good in his only start against the Pirates this season getting lit up for five runs in five innings back in April.
