Brandon Marshall on New York Jets: ‘This will be my last team’
The man who has been traded three times in nine seasons just made a bold statement about the state of his career.
Brandon Marshall, who was shipped off by the Chicago Bears to the New York Jets this offseason, says that his newest team will be his final one.
We take most of what Marshall says with a grain of salt, but you have to think he wants to find some roots after an itinerant start to his career — four years with the Denver Broncos, two with the Miami Dolphins and three with the Bears.

For some, such as the NBA’s Luke Ridnour, being traded a lot (four times in 24 hours) can carry some shame with it. But then again, Randy Moss was traded three times, and he’s certainly in the GOAT discussion.
Marshall is not, however. He’s experiencing the law of diminishing returns in his career, both as a player and as a teammate, even if the early reports of his befriending Geno Smith are encouraging.
If Marshall can return to his 2012-2013 form, the Jets will do everything they can to keep Marshall for as long as he wants. If he’s the troublesome force he was on a dysfunctional Bears team last season, Marshall might want to start thinking about his post-NFL career options.
