Why is Rondae Hollis-Jefferson holding this giant bag of popcorn?
There’s just no way around it. Brooklyn Nets rookie wing Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the 23rd pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and a budding lockdown defender, is holding a giant bag of popcorn.
Why could this be? We present several options:
A) He is going to eat all the popcorn.
B) The veterans on the Summer League team asked him to pick up snacks. Unfortunately, he did not realize that not every likes popcorn. Nor would they want to share from one giant communal bag of it.
C) The airline gave him a free checked bag and he does not want to waste the opportunity.
D) As noted by Mark Sandritter at SB Nation, NBA players regularly prank each other by filling cars and houses with popcorn. Perhaps Rondae is only preparing for the inevitable.
