Albert Pujols joins Reds fans in booing his former Cardinals teammates
Albert Pujols made his name as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. In 11 seasons with the club, Pujols won a Rookie of the Year award, made 10 All-Star teams and won three MVP awards with the club. When he’s elected to the Hall of Fame, Pujols is undoubtedly going in wearing a Cardinals cap.

Though he still has plenty of connections to the franchise, Pujols is a member of the Los Angeles Angels now. So, when he noticed Cincinnati Reds fans booing his former teammates, he decided to join in on the fun.
This particular booing allegedly took place when Yadier Molina was being introduced. Molina received the loudest boos of any player during pregame introductions, but seemed to embrace his role as the heel.
He also may have been motivated to respond to Pujols’ jeers from the other side of the field.
In case anyone was worried that there was suddenly bad blood between the two, they put those rumors to rest immediately after introductions ended.
Pujols can laugh all he wants now, but the Cardinals have done pretty well without him. The franchise has changed so much since Pujols departed that he only played with two of the Cardinals’ six All-Star representatives (Molina and Matt Holliday).

When you’re as beloved as Pujols, though, you can do anything you want. That even includes booing your old teammates during a national broadcast. After years of getting booed in Cincinnati, it was probably nice to finally see things from the other side.
