Former Red Sean Casey makes great catch at Home Run Derby
CINCINNATI— Sean Casey hasn’t played for the Reds since 2005, but the 41-year-old Cincinnati favorite showed on Monday that he’s still capable of drawing cheers for his baseball talents.
The former Reds first baseman and current MLB Network analyst made one of the plays of the night by snagging a long, foul drive from Toronto Blue Jays slugger Josh Donaldson during the Home Run Derby

At first, the crowd at Great American Ballpark roared its appreciation as it would for anyone who made a great grab. But after realizing who caught the ball, it then broke out in a in a long “Casey! Casey! Casey!” chant.
Broadcast mate Chris Rose then spread the word to Twitter.
Casey played for the Reds from 1998 to 2005, making three All-Star teams and becoming a fan favorite known as “The Mayor” for his outgoing personality. He hit 118 of his 130 career home runs for the Reds.
