Check out Wilson’s All-Star game glove that was designed by a teenager
The All-Star game is as much about pageantry as it is about playing time. How the players present themselves on the field is of the utmost importance.
Wilson, the glove of choice for a number of this year’s All-Stars, held a contest for fans to create their commemorative glove for the 2015 Midsummer Classic. Of all the submissions they received, it was 17-year-old Trevor Smith from Oneonta, Ala., who came up with the best look.

[On this week’s StewPod: Everything you need to know about the All-Star game.]
As a high school player with an affinity for customized apparel, Smith was perfectly suited to configure a snazzy design.
His strategy for the All-Star glove was simple: include lots of red because the Cincinnati Reds are hosting the game and give it a classic feel.
We have to say, the kid nailed it. That is a sweet looking mitt and baseball’s best will absolutely be proud to wear it at Great American Ballpark on Tuesday night.
