Dodgers build shrine to former teammate Juan Uribe on his bobblehead day
Does absence make the heart grow fonder?
Perhaps. But let there be no doubt that Juan Uribe was already one of the most popular players in the Los Angeles Dodgers clubhouse prior to his somewhat surprising trade to the Atlanta Braves back on May 26.
In fact, Uribe was also one of the most popular Dodgers with the fans as well. That’s a big part of the reason why they scheduled Juan Uribe bobblehead night for Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Pretty nice.

About that trade though. Unfortunately, that meant Uribe couldn’t be there to enjoy his night. He was with the Braves in Colorado. But he was certainly there in spirit thanks to his former teammates.
Take a look.
You can never say baseball players lack loyalty, creativity or a sense of humor.
While the Juan Uribe shrine obviously brought back fond memories and created a few laughs, it couldn’t bring any good luck or good vibes with it. The Dodgers were overmatched by Brewers rookie Taylor Jungmann and lost the game 7-1. But if nothing else, Uribe got the sendoff and the acknowledgement he deserved.
Long live Juan Uribe.
