UCLA’s uniforms now have a pattern on them (Photos)
Adidas unveiled UCLA’s uniforms for the 2015 season Thursday morning. They look fairly similar to UCLA’s traditional uniforms. But you’ll notice a pattern on them.
And it’s pretty distinctive too.
Here’s the second graph of the Adidas statement. We love PR speak.
Paying homage to the UCLA tradition of grit and toughness, the new home uniforms were crafted with speed and valiance in mind. Developed in collaboration with the coaching staff, and influenced by the fans’ love for past alternative uniforms, the new design is centered around a modernized version of the traditional UCLA stripe on the jersey.
The numbers are also metallic gold “for more breathability.”
The jerseys are also part of Adidas’ new Primeknit technology, the same as Louisville’s new uniforms.
We’re really hoping the pattern on the jerseys is something that isn’t nearly as visible on the field as it is in these pictures. UCLA’s uniforms are some of the classic ones in college football, they don’t need much visual enhancement. We’re always going to be fans of a minimalistic UCLA look.
