Detroit Lions 2015: Game by game predictionsDetroit Lions 2015: Game by game predictions
Following the announcement of the 2015 NFL schedule on April 21st, I wrote a piece breaking down the Detroit Lions season on a game-by-game basis. That was written before the 2015 NFL Draft was held and I feel like now is a good time to revisit things.
First things first. I now feel much better about the offense than I did prior to the draft. Martin Mayhew definitely made it a focus of his to improve the offensive line and the running game. He did that by drafting Laken Tomlinson and Ameer Abdullah in the first two rounds. There is no question in my mind the Lions will have a much better offense in 2015. In fact, don’t be surprised if they are a top 10 offense in the league when all is said and done.
Second, it will be a monumental task for the defense to live up to what they were in 2014, but I still think they will be in the top five in the NFL. Darius Slay and Ziggy Ansah are poised to have breakout seasons and I would not be shocked at all if they are deserving of Pro Bowl selections.
It’s time to take a look at just how well I think the Lions will do in 2015. I will give my prediction for every regular season game based on my feelings at this moment. If I have them making the playoffs I will also give my predictions accordingly. (Was that a spoiler?)
How will the Detroit Lions fare in 2015? Will they qualify for the NFL Playoffs? Just how far will they go? Let’s find out!
Without further ado, here are my game-by-game predictions for the Detroit Lions in 2015.
