Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for July 6 – Bleacher Report
When trying to pick a daily fantasy baseball team, it’s important to keep an open mind when assessing the possible options. Whether a player is just starting out in the league or has seemingly been around forever, anyone can produce in a single game.
Monday’s best lineup picks feature both young stars and veterans, both of which could help you win some money.
A.J. Burnett, SP, Pittsburgh Pirates ($9,400)
With Chris Sale facing a tough Toronto Blue Jays lineup and Carlos Carrasco and Dallas Keuchel facing each other, A.J. Burnett becomes the best option available for Monday.
Although most have expected the 38-year-old pitcher to come back to earth after a hot start, Burnett has maintained a 2.05 ERA and has a chance to reach the first All-Star Game of his career. Considering he is even better at home this season (1.29 ERA), the San Diego Padres could be in trouble.
Mark Buehrle, SP, Toronto Blue Jays ($6,800)

Although many will come to watch Chris Sale as he goes for his ninth-straight game of double-digit strikeouts, Mark Buehrle has been on quite a run himself. The veteran has allowed two or fewer runs while totaling at least seven innings in each of his last four starts. Only once in his last nine starts has he failed to reach seven innings pitched.
Additionally, the former Chicago White Sox ace represents a tough matchup for his former team. The squad has struggled against lefties all season, managing just a .223 batting average and .307 slugging percentage.
Even without high strikeout totals, he should be able to put up solid numbers for minimal cost.
Andrew McCutchen, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates ($4,600)
After the first month of the season, Andrew McCutchen was batting just .194. Since May 1, however, the former National League MVP is batting .332 and has been one of the most consistent hitters in baseball.
With James Shields struggling on the road this year to the tune of a 5.50 ERA, you can get an elite hitter in a great matchup for a reasonable price.
Joc Pederson, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers ($4,000)

Like many on the Philadelphia Phillies roster, starting pitcher Sean O’Sullivan is in the midst of an awful season. Not only does he have a 5.76 ERA for the year, but left-handed hitters are batting .369 against him with a 1.154 OPS.
Although Joc Pederson has lacked consistency this year, he should get back on track and utilize his outstanding power in this extremely favorable matchup.
Brandon Crawford, SS, San Francisco Giants ($3,600)
His work at the plate and in the field should make Brandon Crawford an All-Star when the reserve list is announced Monday night, but one of the most impressive parts of his game has been his work against southpaws. The left-handed hitter has hit lefty pitchers extremely well this season, totaling a .333 batting average.
This means there is no reason to doubt him against Jonathon Niese in the next game.
Yadier Molina, C, St. Louis Cardinals ($3,100)
Although Yadier Molina isn’t having his best season, he always finds a way to beat the Chicago Cubs. His career batting average against the division rival is .309 with 13 home runs in 147 games.
Cubs starter Jon Lester has had some good games this year, but he could end up following in the footsteps of past Chicago pitchers while allowing some big hits to Molina. For this price, he is certainly worth the upside.
