Nani set for Fenerbahce medical
ESPN FC’s Janusz Michallik and Alexis Nunes question what went wrong with Nani as he is heading to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce have announced Nani will undergo a medical with the club on Sunday ahead of a proposed transfer from Manchester United.
Nani, 28, spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon — the club he joined United from in 2007 — as part of the deal that brought defender Marcos Rojo to Old Trafford.
However, Turkish club Fenerbahce now look to be in pole position to land the player who was once compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.
On Wednesday, ESPN FC sources said Nani has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal at Fener — with United seeking for €6 million (£4.25m) for the winger as he still has three years to run on his contract.
Fenerbahce tweeted on Thursday night: “Fenerbahce has begun to talk with Luis Nani and his club Manchester United to transfer the player.”
Nani will be in Istanbul on Sunday for medical check up.
