Watch Steelers LB James Harrison bench press 500 pounds (Video)
As evidenced by the two-year, $2.75 million extension James Harrison signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in March, the 37-year-old linebacker is still a valuable contributor to an NFL defense.

A video Harrison posted on his Instagram account Tuesday gives you a glimpse into how he can still play at a high level after 11 seasons as a pro.
That’s two reps of 505 pounds that Harrison is bench pressing. Harrison couldn’t even fit all of those plates onto the bar, so two additional weights were dangling below.
That’s some impressive strength.
Harrison spent the first 10 years of his career in Pittsburgh, earning two Super Bowl rings, a Defensive Player of the Year award, five Pro Bowl nods and two first-team All-Pro selections, before a one-year stint with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013.
He announced his retirement in August following that year in Cincinnati, but returned to the Steelers less than a month later and registered 45 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 11 games.
