Arizona defeated Milwaukee 7-5 last night. The Diamondbacks are 1-3 on their current road trip and 6-4 in their last 10 games. The Brewers are 0-4 on their homestand and have lost 6 games in a row and 8 of 9. They are 8-19 at home in 2015.
Yesterday was the first matchup of the season between these two clubs. Milwaukee holds a 5-4 edge in the past 9 games.
Hellickson was a 4-3 winner over the Cubs in his last start. He allowed 3 runs in 6.2 innings for his 3rd Q start of the year. The team is 3-6 in his 9 starts.
Lohse was an 8-4 loser to San Francisco last week, yielding 5 runs in 5.1 innings. He has 3 Q starts in 2015 and has surrendered 4+ runs in 6 of his 10 starts.
As a team, Arizona has had little success vs. Lohse. The quartet of 1B Paul Goldschmidt, 2B Aaron Hill and OFs David Pollock and AJ Pollock is 5-28. Peralta and Goldschmidt each have an RBI and no one has swiped a base off of the veteran right-hander.
Only 3 Brewers hitters have faced Hellickson before. OFs Ryan Braun is 0-2 while Gerardo Parra is 1-3 (.333). IB Adam Lind has a lot of experience vs. the right-hander from their time in the AL. He is 9-29 (.310) with 5 RBIs and 5 walks.

We like the UNDER here. Arizona starter Jeremy Hellickson finally put together two quality starts and is in his best form of the season. He doesn’t have much experience against the Brewers with his only career start coming back in 2011 at Miller Park where he went 6 innings allowing two runs to get the Q start. The current roster has hot .306 versus him, but 29 of the 36 at bats were by Adam Lind who has a lifetime .310 mark against him. Kyle Lohse is coming off of a poor start in his latest against the Giants, but had been very good in two previous outings. He has pitched well against the current Diamondback roster with the batters hitting .234 against him in 47 plate appearances.
