Wimmer signs for Tottenham
Kevin Wimmer made 32 Bundesliga appearances this season.
Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of defender Kevin Wimmer from Cologne.
Wimmer, 22, made 32 Bundesliga appearances this season, as Cologne finished 12th in the table, with the fifth best defensive record in the division.
The Austria centre-back has signed a five-year contract at White Hart Lane, while his fee has not been disclosed.

Wimmer said on Cologne’s official website: “Tottenham is a huge chance for me. Nonetheless, it won’t be easy saying good bye to Cologne.
“I experienced wonderful moments here, such as the promotion and the Klassenerhalt.
“I want to thank the training staff, my teammates, and all those involved in the club for their extraordinary support. FC and its fantastic fans will always remain something special for me.”
On Wednesday, Wimmer said he was delighted his new club Tottenham have qualified for the Europa League.
