Duncan Keith goes assist crazy to give Chicago Game 6 lead
The tenseness of Game 6 of the Western Conference Final between the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks was broken … by the incredible passing ability of Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith.
First, Keith led Brandon Saad perfectly up the middle of the ice – and was helped a little by Kane to give Saad a breakaway and Chicago a 1-0 advantage at the 8:23 mark.
Then at the 10:41 mark, Keith found Marian Hossa at the side of the Ducks net to put the game at 2-0 after Hossa buried the one-time.
And Keith wasn’t done, picking up the primary assist on Patrick Kane’s goal that put the game at 3-0 at the 12:08 mark.
This would put Keith’s assist total at 14 for the postseason, which makes him second in the playoffs behind Anaheim’s Ryan Getzlaf. Keith also entered Game 6 leading the postseason with an average of 32:06 of ice-time. Can you say Conn Keith if Chicago ends up winning this thing? At least he’s trying to help Chicago survive. The Blackhawks entered the game down 3-2 in the series and facing elimination.
