While the Cavaliers won Game 1 they head into Game 2 banged up, as LeBron James is dealing with a sprained Ankle and Kyrie Irving was limited to 3 minutes after reinjuring his knee. Both should go tonight and James should be ok, but Irving’s situation is a little worse. If he is hobbled again the other players need to step up to take the slack like in Game 1 when reserve G J.R. Smith went for 28 points. For the Hawks DeMarre Carroll is doubtful for tonight’s game with a knee injury and that loss is a big one, as he is one of the main defenders for LeBron James.
Sharpshooter Kyle Korver has been struggling in the playoffs with his 3-point shot, but hit 2 of 4 long balls in Game 1. However, the Hawks as a team only made 4 of their 23 3-pointers and Paul Millsap was only 3/11 from the field. The Hawks need to find their rhythm on offense and also keep Cleveland off the offensive glass, which they did not do in Game 1 giving up 12 offensive boards.
Going with the Cavaliers again in this Game 2, as they will not only cover the 2-point spread, but win as well heading back to Cleveland up 2-0.
