Jersey Fouls of the Week: McBeer creates a ‘Virus’
Jersey Fouls can be found anywhere.
You can find one at a game! You can find one on a plane! Or you can find one at the World Championships, or a rock concert.
The above photo was snapped at U2’s show at Vancouver’s Roger’s Arena. If it was seen at a Canucks game, it would have been in high-level foul territory. This makes the decision to put an homage to a benevolent rock star on the back much more acceptable.
But why not just put a player’s name on the jersey and wear it to multiple Canucks game, rather than giving U2 love at this one-time event? Buy a t-shirt instead.
Oh well, it’s the wearer’s money.
If you want to submit, make sure to email us at [email protected] or tweet to the hashtag #jerseyfoul. We’ll pick them up, and try to make sure to give credit where credit is due.
Here they are!
3. The Virus
At first, I though this was a foul. Then shortly later found out this was a real dude, which makes it that much better. (S/t James Morgan on email. Taken at the World Championships)
2. The Mural
We’ve had a weird spate of redneck-ish Blackhawks jerseys. Buying a mural/jersey with a signed ‘Keith’ on the back and wearing at a road playoff game has a certain … NASCAR fan type feel to it. (S/t @randball)
1. McBeer!
I want to have a brewsky with this dude. Preferably from our favorite chain Irish Pub. (S/t Peter Plevritis on Email)
