Ryan Callahan had to miss the Tampa Bay Lightning‘s series clinching win against the Montreal Canadiens this week after undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Monday night.
Just three days later, Callahan is back on the ice at practice for the Lightning on Thursday morning wearing a regular jersey, seemingly indicating that he has been cleared for full participation.
Callahan was limited to just three assists over his first 12 playoff games this season but is still a top-line player for a Lightning team that is playing in the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2011.
The Lightning open their series against the New York Rangers, Callahan’s former team, on Saturday afternoon.
More information on Callahan’s status for Game 1 will be provided when it becomes available.
