The Atlanta Hawks took back home court advantage with a hard fought 106-101 victory as a 4.5 point favorite. The entire Game 4 was tight with the Wizards within three points before the Hawks sunk two free throws with 0.9 seconds left to get the ATS win for their backers.
Shooting was a strength for Atlanta in the game shooting 47.1% from the field and an impressive 47.4 from 3-point land. Their bench was strong again contributing 32 points. Jeff Teague led the scoring for the Hawks with 26 points and 8 assists and Al Horford added 18 along with 10 boards.
The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal who had a game high 34 points and Paul Pierce who missed a game tying wide open three with seconds left in the 4th had a good game with 22 points. All but one player who saw time had a rebound as Washington won the battle of the boards 41-37.

It’s unlikely that Wall will play, so we handicapped this game with the likelihood that he’s in street clothes again tonight. The wild card is DeMarre Carroll who may or may not play with a suspected hip pointer. Our guess is that he will and if is limited at all that would be advantage Washington. Carroll has proved to be a defensive liability at times this season and any mobility issue would increase tenfold. Only one of the games in this series has been decided by a margin more than tonight’s 8 points and that came in Game 2 when Wall was a last minute scratch. The Wizard just weren’t prepared for the loss and it showed in the easy 16 point win by Atlanta. That won’t happen in Game 5 with or without John Wall.
