The NBA’s 2015 Christmas uniforms have leaked, and they look dope
Now, I know what you’re thinking: May 13 seems awfully early for Christmas presents. But when the gifts look this good, can you blame the industry sources that help fuel Paul Lukas’ wonderful UniWatch from wanting to rip off the paper and share ’em with the world seven months early?

You can check out the alleged 2015 Christmas Day designs for 27 of the 30 NBA teams at UniWatch — the three exceptions are the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors, all of whom will sport new regular-season uniforms next season.
non-Pac-Man-throwback duds have seemed a bit stale in recent years.
The Atlanta Hawks are expected to introduce new uniforms next season, too, but their holiday threads made an appearance (as shown at right) and I think it’s fair to call it a pretty surprising present. All those triangle patterns and the lime-green accents on their shorts seem kind of wild, but maybe that’s not the worst thing for a team whosePerhaps most refreshingly, the leaked designs manage to look sharp and unique without leaning on the awkward gimmicks of the past couple of seasons.
No sleeves, no front logos and first-names-on-backs — just an attractive cursive wordmark, a little italicized-seeming tilt to the rounded-off numerals, a heavy lean toward cream (or, apparently, “greige“) coloring instead of standard flat white and a commitment to preserving certain distinctive elements of teams’ designs, like the trees on the Minnesota Timberwolves’ shorts, the bridge graphic on the Golden State Warriors’ shorts and the pinstriping on the Orlando Magic’s unis. This is a very, very good thing.
It’s worth noting, of course, that we don’t yet know which teams will actually take the court for the Christmas Day marathon showcase, since the 2015-16 schedule won’t be finalized until this summer, after the current season wraps up. If your team doesn’t wind up making the cut, though, at least you’ll have these fresh-dipped-in-flames mock-ups to keep you warm come that cold winter’s day.
